Another painting from my University studies in Europe. Tenby, Whales oh how I adore your charm. The next two pictures were taken when my parents came to visit. (My mother took this picture of Dad and I). I love the style of Gabriele Münter. She studied and lived with painter Wassily Kandinsky and was a founding member of the expressionist group Der Blaue Reiter.

They believed in the connection between visual art and music; the spiritual and symbolic associations of colour; and a spontaneous, intuitive approach to painting. I thought their style was perfect for my little Tenby coast painting
