I want to add more waterscapes into my work. I will always have to have a body of water somewhere near where I live. Growing up w Lake Michigan nearby has made me appreciate the calm that the water can deliver. When I am working in Chicago, I will often drive to the waters edge and either watch a storm roll in or catch the sun slowly rise over the lake before I start my day.

Painting water is a challenge so I will definitely be working on it more. If you are a fan of the water like me be sure to google and read “Go To The Water” a short but powerful post by author Elizabeth Gilbert. It’s one of my most favorite writings.
