While thinking about the approaching Spring I wanted to pause and paint a semi-nocturnal scene. This year’s third and final supermoon is set to coincide with the spring equinox on Wednesday, March 20. I have been wanting to use some oil pastels on some of my pieces. I thought these smaller Index sized cards would lend themselves well to trying out mixing this medium with my own oil paints. One of my favorite artists @artist_bianca_berends is a master combining these two mediums. I adore her use of color and texture. 

I hope you all can watch a bit of the moon grace our great land this week. Truly the colors will mix into an amazing show for us all as we prepare for the glorious Spring season.
